Dear Mr. Fox,

On behalf of the Committee To Save Our Homes in Cecil Township, I wish to express my support for the routing of the Southern Beltway Toll Road designated "B 1" by the Turnpike Planning Commission. After extensive study of the "B 2" and "B 3" routes, it would appear that the proposed "B 1" route is the singular most viable route for the following reasons:
--	B 1 is a much less developed route
--	Fewer residents would be displaced from their homes
--	The northeast portion of Cecil Township consisting of Gladden Heights, Reissing Rd, Johns Ave., Karen Dr, Hallam Rd. and the Turntable area would remain untouched
--	Pollution and potential for spills which might affect the Borough of McDonald would be greatly reduced
--	No disruption would occur to the proposed Montour Trail which is soon to become the cornerstone for the local trail system Southwest of McDonald
--	Property values in the Gladden Heights area would not be adversely affected
--	The semi-rural atmosphere of the area would remain intact
--	The remaining homes, of which there would be many, would literally have the road in their yards with the B 2 and B 3 routes
--	Delivery of emergency services to the Borough of McDonald and surrounding communities would be free of having to negotiate a crossing of the toll road

The proposed toll road route is a deep emotional issue for all of us. We truly value the cohesiveness of our closeknit community and wish it only to remain intact so that future generations may realize the benefits we all have gained from our semi-rural lifestyle.
We wish not to impede the progress that such a road might bring to the growth and development of this and surrounding localities. We only wish to divert the route in order to both preserve our environment as well as support the Turnpike Commission in seeking the route which best minimizes the negative impact to local citizens.
I thank you for your efforts on our behalf and trust that you will support us in your determination of "B 1" as the obvious route of choice.
